Village Looter is a platform game where you have to pick up treasure, and be careful with the angry villagers that are guarding their fortune. While it’s still under development, the game is already playable, and I personally like it a lot!
Every treasure you grab is stored on your bag, which is located at the right half of the screen. Grabbing too much treasure makes you heavy, and you’ll be unable to escape the villagers if you’re too greedy. Sometimes, however, it’s wise to collect a lot of items since the clock is ticking and you only award points if you throw your loot in the sewer system.
The game is very balanced as it is, but there are still some bugs and additions to be done, such as more levels, a “story mode” and upgradable items.

Crypts & Caves is an arcade-roguelike game I’ve been working on. It will feature random-generated dungeons, different enemies and lots of items for the player to explore. The main idea is to have a increasingly difficult dungeon, and a high-score server so the players can compete in getting the highest loot from those dark places.
I made this game with a single thing in mind: I tried to make a “one-button” game. My first thought was to make a “slot car” game, one of those racing simulators where you can only accelerate your cars and try not to speed to much – or you leave the track on a curve. But I decided to stir things up and make a “slot car in space”, using the button to attract your ship to an object. With this, I could keep the slot cars feel (if you go too fast, you’ll lose time) while adding some new layers of strategy to the original toy.

The PicNic Race was my first game design – I came up with the idea in the end of 2006, way before the Gammabeam was founded. It used a simple game we called “Vector Race” as its basis, and it was supposed to be a Flash Game. Sadly, I never got to finish it (my Flash skills weren’t that good back then), but the graphics were cute enough for me to keep this – they were one of my first kawaii designs!
