Arte e Energia (Art and Energy)

A motion graphics I designed for a cultural contest called Energias do Mundo (http://www.energiasdomundo.com.br). This presentation relates famous artists and their art to different types of energy. I tried to keep the graphics simple to maintain focus on the arts. I like the result, even more because it was made in a very small period of time, and I was away from motion graphics for years.

The cavemen animation was created by the awesome artist Rafael Marquetto: www.rafaelmarquetto.com
Also, additional logo placement and corrections were made by Delfina: www.delfinah.com

The second postcard made for BDZ. This one was made in a rush, we had a tight deadline because most of the bands were not confirmed. But I still like its colors and the “hidden clues” for bands throughout the art. The back part was kind of a challenge because there was too many information to be displayed, but the calendar style – organizing dates by the weekdays – was a fine solution.

This was the first postcard I designed for BDZ (“Bar do Zé”), an indie rock joint we hang out. The idea was to create the bar’s whole identity, starting with the creation of monthly postcards to publicize the line-up for the month. Leonel, my first toy-art, was created so it could be on the cover of this postcard. I really like this job, it was made with extra care – even thought we ended up having to make the front of it with just one color!
